These are A-grade Brown Aragonite raw stones from Junin, Peru, sold by the piece or by the pound. Aragonite is the orthorhombic form of calcium carbonate, chemically identical to calcite but with a different crystal structure. Each piece runs 1-2 inches at Mohs 3.5, fully natural and untreated. A favorite grounding stone for desks.

Brown Aragonite sits at 3.5 on the Mohs scale, soft enough to scratch with a knife, so keep it dry and store it on its own. Long soaks dull the surface, so keep any water contact brief and dry it fully.
