These tumbled stones come from Haut-Lomami, Democratic Republic of the Congo. It's soft (Mohs 3), so handle it with a little care, keep it dry, and store it in its own pouch so harder stones don't scratch it. Worth knowing: a lot of the cobalt calcite on the market is dyed and heat-treated. What we carry is natural and untreated.
Traditionally used to deepen spiritual connections and promote heart-centered consciousness.
Cobalt calcite is traditionally a stone for opening to connection, with yourself and others, coming back to yourself with kindness, and working through difficult feelings at your own pace. It's traditionally linked to the heart chakra. If that resonates, keep it nearby during quiet moments or by the bed for rest. Let it become part of your own quiet routine.
These are traditional associations drawn from historical practice. This stone is not a substitute for medical or mental health care.
A starting place for your own quiet practice.
