These are A-grade Dendritic Agate tumbled stones from Betsiboka, Madagascar, sold by the piece or by the pound. Dendritic agate is a translucent chalcedony holding fern-like traces of iron and manganese oxides, mineral growths rather than plant fossils. These tumbled stones come from Betsiboka, Madagascar. Worth knowing: a lot of the dendritic agate on the market is dyed. What we carry is natural and untreated.

Dendritic Agate sits at 6.5-7 on the Mohs scale, about as hard as glass, so it handles daily use but will scratch against harder stones. Keep chemical cleaners away from it; they can etch the surface.
