These are A-grade Lepidolite crystal chips from Erongo, Namibia, sold by the piece or by the pound. Lepidolite is a lithium mica, and polishing these small chips brings out the pale lilac sparkle of its layered plates. Each chip runs 0.25-0.50 inches at Mohs 2.5-3, bought directly at the source. A favorite self love stone for meditation spaces.
Lepidolite has a lavender-gray shimmer that comes from its layered mica structure. Hold one up to the light and you'll see it flash, almost like cracked ice. It's one of the softer stones we carry, which means you treat it gently.
The name comes from Greek 'lepidos' meaning scale, referring to its scaly, micaceous texture.
Hand-selected from Erongo, Namibia. It's soft (Mohs 2.5-3), so handle it with a little care, keep it dry, and store it in its own pouch so harder stones don't scratch it. Worth knowing: a lot of the lepidolite on the market is stabilized. What we carry is natural and untreated.
In the tradition, lepidolite shows up most often around quiet, steady calm, working through difficult feelings at your own pace, and winding down and settling into rest. It's traditionally linked to the heart and third eye chakras. If that resonates, keep it nearby during quiet moments or by the bed for rest. Trust what feels useful and leave the rest.

Lepidolite sits at 2.5-3 on the Mohs scale, among the softest stones we carry, so handle it gently and keep it dry. Long soaks dull the surface, so keep any water contact brief and dry it fully.
