About This Unakite

Unakite is a mix of pink feldspar, green epidote, and clear quartz fused together in one rock. The pink and green together are the whole appeal. It's the stone version of a perfect piece of watermelon.

Our chips are sourced from Northern Cape, South Africa.

Named after Unaka Mountains in North Carolina-Tennessee border.

Traditionally Used For

Unakite is traditionally a stone for working through difficult feelings at your own pace, gentle, patient care for yourself, and coming back to yourself with kindness. It's traditionally linked to the heart and root chakras. If that resonates, hold one over your chest for a few breaths when you need to soften. Let it become part of your own quiet routine.

These are traditional associations drawn from historical practice. This stone is not a substitute for medical or mental health care.

Care and Use

Sensitivity Moderate

Unakite sits at 6.5 on the Mohs scale, about as hard as glass, so it handles daily use but will scratch against harder stones. Keep chemical cleaners away from it; they can etch the surface.
