These are AA-grade Lepidolite raw crystal blades from Minas Gerais, Brazil, sold by the piece or by the pound. Lepidolite is a lithium-bearing mica that grows in flat, layered blades tinted lavender-pink by manganese. Each blade runs 1-2 inches at Mohs 2.5-3, sourced through a community partnership. A favorite stress relief stone for bedside tables.
Lepidolite has a lavender-gray shimmer that comes from its layered mica structure. Hold one up to the light and you'll see it flash, almost like cracked ice. It's one of the softer stones we carry, which means you treat it gently.
This piece comes from Minas Gerais, Brazil. This is a softer mineral (2.5-3 Mohs). Dry storage, gentle handling, and don't let it knock around with quartz or tourmaline. Worth knowing: a lot of the lepidolite on the market is stabilized. What we carry is natural and untreated.
The name comes from Greek 'lepidos' meaning scale, referring to its scaly, micaceous texture.
Those who work with lepidolite often turn to it for quiet, steady calm, working through difficult feelings at your own pace, and winding down and settling into rest. It's traditionally linked to the heart and third eye chakras. If that resonates, set one on a shelf where your eye lands on it during the day. How you use it is up to you.

Lepidolite sits at 2.5-3 on the Mohs scale, among the softest stones we carry, so handle it gently and keep it dry. Long soaks dull the surface, so keep any water contact brief and dry it fully.

AA grade indicates good lavender to pink-purple color, well-defined blade or plate-like crystal structure, and minimal damage to the mica layers. The blade form should be recognizable rather than fragmented. Grades reflect visual quality within a batch. A is standard, with typical inclusions. AA shows stronger color, cleaner surfaces and tighter sizing. AAA is the top 10 to 15 percent of a batch.
