These are A-grade Pink Opal raw stones from Arequipa, Peru, sold by the piece or by the pound. Pink Opal is a common opal in soft pink to peach, opaque rather than fiery, and closely tied to Peruvian deposits. Each piece runs 1-2 inches at Mohs 5-5.5, fully natural and untreated. A favorite emotional healing stone for bedside tables.

Pink Opal sits at 5-5.5 on the Mohs scale, soft enough to scratch with a knife, so keep it dry and store it on its own. Long soaks dull the surface, so keep any water contact brief and dry it fully.
