About This Rhodonite

Rhodonite is rose pink marbled with black veins of manganese oxide. The contrast is the point. Smooth, pink, and grounded all at once.

We bring these tumbled stones in from Masvingo, Zimbabwe.

Rhodonite takes its name from the Greek rhodon, meaning rose.

Traditionally Used For

In crystal traditions, rhodonite is often associated with working through difficult feelings at your own pace, opening to connection, with yourself and others, and coming back to yourself with kindness. It's traditionally linked to the heart and root chakras. If that resonates, set one on a shelf where your eye lands on it during the day. Work with it the way that fits your own practice.

These are traditional associations drawn from historical practice. This stone is not a substitute for medical or mental health care.

Care and Use

Sensitivity Moderate

Rhodonite sits at 5.5-6.5 on the Mohs scale, about as hard as glass, so it handles daily use but will scratch against harder stones. Keep chemical cleaners away from it; they can etch the surface.
