These are A-grade Rose Quartz raw crystals from South Dakota, United States, sold individually by the piece in two sizes. Rose quartz owes its pink to microscopic fiber inclusions and trace elements; South Dakota is a longtime domestic source. Pieces run 50 to 200 grams at Mohs 7, fully natural and untreated. A favorite love stone for bedside tables and gifting.
Rose quartz is the pink member of the quartz family, colored by microscopic fiber inclusions rather than a single trace element. These raw pieces show cloudy blush pink across natural fracture faces, with the soft internal glow the inclusions create.
Ancient Romans and Egyptians used rose quartz face masks, believing it would prevent wrinkles and keep skin clear.
These pieces are sourced from South Dakota's Black Hills, the classic American source, where rose quartz holds official state mineral status. American rose quartz is scarcer in the trade than Brazilian or Malagasy stock.
