Rose Quartz Crystal Guide: meaning, origin & properties
For softening toward yourself.
Learn what Rose Quartz is, where ours comes from, traditional associations across cultures, and how to identify a real specimen, in our complete Rose Quartz Crystal Guide.
Rose Quartz pieces are softly translucent, with a pink that ranges from a near-white blush to a deeper warm rose. The color is uneven by nature, sometimes settling in pockets or zones across each stone, sometimes spread evenly through.
Hand-selected from Minas Gerais, Brazil. The pink comes from trace amounts of titanium, iron, or manganese. Rose quartz typically forms in massive, non-crystalline aggregates rather than as single pointed crystals.
Rose Quartz is the most well-known crystal of the heart. It's traditionally worked with for self-love, compassion, and gentle emotional healing. Many people keep a piece by their bed or on an altar dedicated to relationships, including the relationship they have with themselves.
These are traditional associations drawn from historical practice. This stone is not a substitute for medical or mental health care.
