Learn what Watermelon Tourmaline is, where ours comes from, traditional associations across cultures, and how to identify a real specimen, in our complete Watermelon Tourmaline Crystal Guide.
Watermelon tourmaline is a color-zoned variety of elbaite tourmaline, named for the way a pink core and green rim (or the reverse) can read like a sliced piece of fruit. The color comes from traces of manganese, iron, and lithium shifting through the crystal as it grew.
Hand-selected through our co-op partner in Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Watermelon tourmaline is traditionally associated with the heart, both the soft side and the strong side of it. Many people work with it for emotional balance, relationship healing, and a steadier sense of self during stretches when things feel off.
These are traditional associations drawn from historical practice. This stone is not a substitute for medical or mental health care.
