About This Rhodonite

Rhodonite is rose pink marbled with black veins of manganese oxide. The contrast is the point. Smooth, pink, and grounded all at once.

This is a polished free form, cut and shaped by hand to follow the natural lines of the rough rather than forced into a symmetrical shape. Every face carries a different pattern of veining, which is why we photograph and list these individually rather than by the batch.

Hand-selected from Masvingo, Zimbabwe. Rhodonite takes its name from the Greek rhodon, meaning rose.

Traditionally Used For

Rhodonite is traditionally a stone for working through difficult feelings at your own pace, opening to connection, with yourself and others, and coming back to yourself with kindness. It's traditionally linked to the heart and root chakras.

If that resonates, keep it nearby during quiet moments or by the bed for rest. Let it become part of your own quiet routine.

These are traditional associations drawn from historical practice. This stone is not a substitute for medical or mental health care.

Care and Use

Sensitivity Moderate

Rhodonite sits at 5.5-6.5 on the Mohs scale, about as hard as glass, so it handles daily use but will scratch against harder stones. Keep chemical cleaners away from it; they can etch the surface.
