About This Rhodonite

Rhodonite is rose pink marbled with black veins of manganese oxide. The contrast is the point. Smooth, pink, and grounded all at once.

Rhodonite takes its name from the Greek rhodon, meaning rose.

Our hearts are sourced from Atsimo-Andrefana, Madagascar.

Traditionally Used For

Those who work with rhodonite often turn to it for working through difficult feelings at your own pace, opening to connection, with yourself and others, and coming back to yourself with kindness. It's traditionally linked to the heart and root chakras. If that resonates, hold one over your chest for a few breaths when you need to soften. How you use it is up to you.

These are traditional associations drawn from historical practice. This stone is not a substitute for medical or mental health care.

Care and Use

Sensitivity Moderate

Rhodonite sits at 5.5-6.5 on the Mohs scale, about as hard as glass, so it handles daily use but will scratch against harder stones. Keep chemical cleaners away from it; they can etch the surface.
