These are AA-grade Rose Quartz polished hearts from Vakinankaratra, Madagascar. Rose quartz is pink quartz colored by trace elements, here shaped and polished into smooth hearts. Each heart runs 1.00-1.50 inches at Mohs 7, fully natural and undyed. A favorite love stone for gifting and bedside tables.
Rose quartz is the softest pink in the quartz family. Not a bright pink, more like the color of a cloud at sunrise, sometimes translucent, sometimes cloudy, always warm to look at. Ancient Romans and Egyptians used rose quartz facial masks, believing it would prevent wrinkles and keep skin clear.
