This is a natural rose quartz reed oil diffuser from Minas Gerais, Brazil, cut from a solid pink quartz block, hollowed for a removable oil tube. It stands 4 to 5 inches tall, 2.5 to 3.5 inches across, weighs 2 to 3 pounds, Mohs 7. The exterior stays naturally rough, with a chrome collar seated into the top. Reeds are not included.
Rose quartz is the soft pink member of the quartz family, colored by trace titanium, iron, and manganese rather than by any single pigment. In a thick block like this the pink reads deeper than it does in a thin slice.
These diffusers are cut from solid blocks sourced in Minas Gerais, Brazil. The outside is left rough exactly as the stone broke, and the inside is hollowed to take a removable plastic tube.
A rough exterior suits rose quartz. The fractured surface scatters light and makes the color look lit from within rather than painted on.
