About This Stichtite

Stichtite is a soft pink-to-lilac carbonate, often found embedded in green serpentine where the two together are sold as atlantisite. The pink is gentle and the overall effect reads almost like stone candy.

These raw pieces come from Mpumalanga, South Africa. It's soft (Mohs 1.5-2.5), so handle it with a little care, keep it dry, and store it in its own pouch so harder stones don't scratch it.

It was first described in Tasmania in 1910.

Traditionally Used For

In crystal traditions, stichtite is often associated with working through difficult feelings at your own pace, coming back to yourself with kindness, and gentle, patient care for yourself. It's traditionally linked to the heart and crown chakras. If that resonates, keep it nearby during quiet moments or by the bed for rest. Work with it the way that fits your own practice.

These are traditional associations drawn from historical practice. This stone is not a substitute for medical or mental health care.

Care and Use

Sensitivity Very High

Stichtite sits at 1.5-2.5 on the Mohs scale, among the softest stones we carry, so handle it gently and keep it dry. Long soaks dull the surface, so keep any water contact brief and dry it fully.
