This is an AA-grade Lepidolite crystal specimen from Minas Gerais, Brazil. Lepidolite owes its lavender color to its lithium-rich mica chemistry, stacked in fine reflective plates. It measures 3.04 x 1.84 x 1.32 inches and weighs 0.36 pounds at Mohs 2.5-3, sourced through a community partnership. A favorite calming piece for bedside tables.
A one-of-a-kind piece sells once, so it rarely has reviews of its own. These are verified reviews of other Beyond Bohemian orders, not of this piece.
Lepidolite has a lavender-gray shimmer that comes from its layered mica structure. Hold one up to the light and you'll see it flash, almost like cracked ice. It's one of the softer stones we carry, which means you treat it gently. The name comes from Greek 'lepidos' meaning scale, referring to its scaly, micaceous texture.
These specimens come from Minas Gerais, Brazil. It's soft (Mohs 2.5-3), so handle it with a little care, give it only a quick rinse and dry it, and store it in its own pouch so harder stones don't scratch it. Worth knowing: a lot of the lepidolite on the market is stabilized. What we carry is natural and untreated.
Lepidolite has long been used in practices around quiet, steady calm, working through difficult feelings at your own pace, and winding down and settling into rest. It's traditionally linked to the heart and third eye chakras.
If that resonates, keep it nearby during quiet moments or by the bed for rest. There's no single right way to carry it.
These are traditional associations drawn from historical practice. This stone is not a substitute for medical or mental health care.
Offered as a starting point for your own practice.
Lepidolite sits at 2.5-3 on the Mohs scale, among the softest stones we carry, so handle it gently. A quick rinse is fine, but do not let it soak or sit in water. Skip saltwater; it etches the surface.

How We GradeSourced through a regional cooperative or community-based workshop. Processing and economic benefit stay local, which means more of the value reaches the people doing the work. We say what we know and where our tracing stops.
Our Sourcing StandardsEverything we sell is natural in origin: never synthetic, never dyed, never coated. Where a stone has been heated, irradiated or stabilized, which is common in the trade for some species, we say so on the product page. If a piece is not as described, return it within 90 days of delivery.
