These are A-grade Smoky Quartz crystal lamps from Minas Gerais, Brazil. Each lamp is a single polished piece of natural brown quartz, sold as the crystal only, without cord or bulb. Pieces run roughly 6-8 inches tall at Mohs 7, sourced through a community partnership. A favorite grounding stone for bedside tables.
Smoky quartz is the brown-to-gray side of the quartz family, the same mineral as clear quartz and amethyst. The color comes from natural radiation working on traces of aluminum in the crystal over a very long time. A lot of the smoky quartz sold today is lab-irradiated to deepen the color. Ours isn't, this is natural, untreated smoky quartz from Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Smoky quartz is traditionally a stone for grounding and steadiness, the one people keep nearby when the day feels scattered. It's most often linked to the root chakra. If that resonates, give it a spot where you slow down, and let it become part of your own quiet routine.

Smoky Quartz sits at 7 on the Mohs scale, harder than a steel blade, so it handles daily carry and a quick rinse without fuss. The one thing that hurts it is sunlight: months in a bright window will fade the color, and it does not come back.
