It is quartz, a hard 7 on the Mohs scale, and its blush comes from microscopic pink fibers threaded through the crystal rather than from any surface dye. Chrysoprase

Chrysoprase is the apple-green stone with a smooth, almost waxy body and no shine-through. It is a form of chalcedony, quartz grown in grains too small to see, and its bright green comes from traces of nickel woven through it. It sits around 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale.
