This is an AA-grade Ocean Jasper sphere from Sofia, Madagascar. Spheres like this are ground and polished by hand to reveal orb patterns across the full surface. This sphere measures 4.20 inches (107 mm) across at Mohs 6.5-7, fully natural and untreated. A favorite stress relief stone for meditation spaces.
Ocean jasper is a riot of orbs and swirls in green, pink, white, and rust. No two pieces look alike. It's only found in one place on earth, the coast of northwestern Madagascar, and the original mine has been worked out for years.
